Wiesen

The meadow series started as study based on moving images and have developed into an autonomous painting series. Viewing the collection of all paintings reveals the dynamic and complex character of their subject. The meadow as extraordinarily tough and inherently functional ecosystem represents growth, resilience and adaptability. These qualities are becoming increasingly relevant for us as humans as they allow references to upcoming issues of mental health within our fast-moving society. At the same time, imprints and traces in the meadow paintings manifest the potential of vulnerability and memory. Each of the paintings I have worked on during the last year tries to describe these aspects in a modified manner.
